Zendaya will not be attending the Met Gala for the third year running.

The ‘Euphoria’ star will skip the annual fashion fundraiser at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art again this year, because of her busy work schedule.

The 25-year-old actress told Extra: "I hate to disappoint my fans here, but I will be working. Your girl's gotta work and make some movies … I wish everyone the best."

The 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' star promised to deliver some impressive red carpet outfits until she returns to the bash, which she hasn't attended since 2019.

She vowed: “I’ll keep delivering in other ways."

Zendaya will be busy filming her role as Tashi in Luca Guadagnino's upcoming tennis drama, 'Challengers'.

The screen star was preoccupied with shooting HBO teen drama 'Euphoria' when the gala took place in September 2021.

At the time, Zendaya said: "My fans are going to be very upset with me. I will unfortunately not be able to attend because I’ll be working for ‘Euphoria.'"

The Emmy winner last graced the steps of the Met in 2019 in an outfit inspired by Disney classic ‘Cinderella’ and designed by Tommy Hilfiger.

The 2020 shindig was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022 Met Gala – which will resume the tradition of it taking place on the first Monday of May – has the theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’ and a dress code of ‘gilded glamour’.

Organisers – which include co-chairs Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Manuel – have asked guests to “embody the grandeur” of the 1870s and 1890s, which boasted figures such as John D Rockefeller, JP Morgan and Cornelius Vanderbilt.

Last year's fundraiser celebrated the theme of 'In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.'
