Bryan Adams has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in a month.

The Canadian rocker had to sit out a planned Tina Turner tribute at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on 30 October after he was diagnosed with the potentially deadly virus, and upon arrival in Milan, Italy – ahead of the unveiling of the 2022 Pirelli calendar that he photographed – he tested positive again.

He updated fans in an Instagram post on Thursday that included photographs of himself in a room at Malpensa Airport and sitting in an ambulance, wearing a surgical mask.

"Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I've tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID," Adams wrote. "So it's off to the hospital for me."

Adams was expected to appear at a series of press events promoting the calendar on Sunday and Monday.
