Kanye West has taken to wearing a Caucasian prosthetic disguise while out and about.

Earlier this week, the rapper legally changed his name to Ye and, hitting the streets of New York, the Gold Digger hitmaker was spotted in the bizarre mask.

Wearing the guise as he arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Kanye accessorized the look with a baseball cap and a pair of headphones, and appeared to be wearing dark eye make-up underneath it.

Later in the day, Kanye, whose outfit also consisted of grey stonewash jeans, a pair of chunky black boots and a black Balenciaga leather bomber jacket, removed the elaborate piece and opted for a standard white mask.

While the musician hasn't shared any details about his unusual new look, he did take to social media to confirm his name change.

He wrote on Twitter: "The being formally known as Kanye West. I am YE."

The star first filed to legally change his name in August ahead of the release of his album Donda, named after his late mother, and it comes amid his divorce from estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
