Celine Dion has insisted she’s single and dancer Pepe Munoz is just her “best friend”.

The My Heart Will Go On star has been accompanied by her dancer Pepe almost everywhere in the last couple of years, and they were most recently spotted together at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in France, where they were pictured walking arm in arm and sitting together on the front row.

The pictures sparked renewed speculation of a romance, but Celine shut down the suggestion that she had moved on from her late husband Rene Angelil, who passed away three years ago, in an interview with Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

“The press said, ‘Oh my God, Rene just passed and now there’s another man,'” she said. “Yeah, there’s another man in my life but not THE man in my life.

“We bonded right away as friends, we had a good time. It evolved… But when people started to take pictures and it was like, ‘Who’s that guy? Rene?’ Let’s not mix everything.”

She explained that Pepe, who was in the room during her interview, was with her all the time because he helps to style her and serves as her trainer.

“We’re friends, we’re best friends. Of course we hug and hold hands and go out, so people see that. I mean, he’s a gentleman. He’s giving me his hand to go out,” she continued. “I don’t mind because he’s handsome and he’s my best friend.”

When asked directly if she’s single, she admitted she was before jokingly adding, “By the way, when I say, ‘I am single,’ please, leave me alone. Thanks.”

The 34-year-old Spanish dancer told French magazine Gala last January that Celine, 50, was just a good friend and that the romance rumors “really amused us”.
