R.J. Haney Heritage Village is celebrating twenty-six years of Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre Productions. This season the Village is proud to present “.”

When Jennie finds herself lost in time and thrown into the middle of a mystery, things get personal. With the help of their friendly neighbourhood Mountie, Monty, Jennie must figure out what happened to her great-uncle back in 1885. The nefarious Dutch Charlie and his accomplice Belle are determined to throw our unlikely heroes into deep trouble. Get ready to step up and be a hero yourself! Based on true accounts and historical references, these fictional characters will bring this story to life in… “The Mystery of Dutch Charlie!”

Our talented cast of “The Mystery of Dutch Charlie” is Tirzah Vetter, Rhys Middleton, Sarah Johnston and Raymond Hubscher. Musically accompanied by the Shu-Strings Ukulele Orchestra, composed of members of several local ukulele organizations. Over 25 musicians have agreed to support our production by taking their turn at being the "house band." They’ll keep you high strung with anticipation in tonight’s show! The very talented, Tamlin Vetter choreographed the dance numbers.

Joining us for his tenth successful season as writer and director is the local playwright, Peter Blacklock. Peter fills his plays with original musical scores and humorous storytelling that will whisk you away to not so far off places while sharing our history along the way.
Opening night is July 3, with shows every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings in July and August and a special matinee performance on Thursday, August 15.
Check-in starts at 5:00 pm. Come and enjoy a home cooked dinner with all the pioneer fixings served from Marjorie’s Tea Room and dessert will follow the play with homemade rhubarb crisp and ice cream. Reservations are a must! Adults $27, seniors $25, children five to twelve are $15 and children four and under are FREE.
