Rev. Dr. Naim Ateek, co-founder of the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre will be in Kelowna for a speaking tour and the launch of his latest book, A Palestinian Theology of Liberation: The Bible, Justice, and the Palestine–Israel Conflict. Dr. Ateek has inspired many people over the years with his ideas about justice and reconciliation in the Holy Land. This is a once-in-a-life time opportunity to hear the voice of a Palestinian Christian. Light refreshments will be served at the reception and book signing following the presentation. Admission is free but donations will be accepted at the door. To help us plan for seating and refreshments it would be great if you could pre-register.
The event is hosted by Amnesty International: Kelowna group, First Mennonite Church, First United Church, Kairos: Kelowna Chapter and the Vernon Palestine Solidarity Group.
To help us plan for refreshments, it would be great if you could register on Eventbrite (The Bible, Justice and the Palestine-Israel Conflict).
