Beyonce wishes she had the powers of her 'Epic' character.

The 31-year-old singer – who has 16-month-old daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z – voices Queen Tara in the upcoming animated film, which follows a group of warriors ruled by a good queen in the forest, and loves how much she has in common with her down-to-earth role.

She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''It's a smart way to make children aware of the planet. I love Queen Tara. She's glamorous, graceful and powerful – I wish I had her powers – and will do anything to protect the people she loves.

''But she doesn't take herself too seriously. I like that. Yes, she's this powerful figure but at the end of the day she's like, 'It's just me.' I can relate to that.''

Beyonce – who is rumoured to be pregnant with her second child – recently recalled she was overcome with emotion and nostalgia when reciting her lines for one particular scene in the movie.

She explained: ''There's a young girl who admires Queen Tara and wants to be like her, and her mom is like, 'Uh, baby, she's the Queen, I don't know if you'll ever be the Queen.'

''I don't want to give the plot away but let's just say that's not the last you see of that girl … I cried tears when I did that scene. It was the first thing I did professionally after I gave birth to my daughter.

''I really wanted to do this film to send her a message that she could be anything she wanted to be, it was an incredible experience as I was filled with emotion and hormones anyway, and here I was filming an incident that happened in my life.''

Carrie Underwood admits she is little “selfish” and isn’t ready to have children.

The 30-year-old country singer – who married Canadian ice-hockey star Mike Fisher in July 2010 – says she has a tough time forming new relationships and wishes she had a softer personality.

The ‘Blown Away’ hitmaker told the June issue of Marie Claire magazine: “I don’t feel old enough to have kids. I know I am mature. But being responsible for another human?

“I’m not a mushy person at all. We were never a huggy family. Or a ‘let’s talk it out’ family. Technically I have siblings but they are quite a bit older than me – I was the accident – so I have the only-child syndrome going on.

“I’m a little more selfish, a little more independent, a little closed. I do wish I were softer. I wish I were able to form relationships better. But hey, I mean…I’m not a sociopath.”

The former ‘American Idol’ star, who rose to fame after winning the reality TV show in 2005, also feels very “awkward” and her husband often makes fun of her for it.

She said: “My husband calls me the queen of awkward moments. Anything that can be made awkward, I will make it awkward.”

Carrie previously claimed that she sometimes feels like a bad wife because she is often so busy touring and recording that she has to spend long periods of time away from her husband.

She said: “Sometimes I feel I’m not able to be a good friend or a good family member or a good wife because they know I’m not there. Everybody else always has dates to things and Mike’s flying solo. I’ll come home and there’s no food in the refrigerator. It makes me feel so bad sometimes that I’m not there to take care of him.”

Beyonce has cancelled her concert in Belgium tonight (05.14.13).

The 'Grown Woman' singer was due to take the stage at the Sportpaleis arena in Antwerp this evening for the latest date on her 'Mrs. Carter Show World Tour', but she has pulled out of the gig citing dehydration and exhaustion.

The 31-year-old star – who began her tour in Serbia last month – will not be able to perform and is under strict doctor's orders to rest, her publicist has confirmed.

The concert will be rescheduled and Belgian fans who were eager to see the singer perform will have their tickets honored at a later date.

A second show due to take place at the same venue tomorrow night (05.15.13) is now also in doubt, with the publicist stating that Beyonce "is awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision".

Rumours began circulating earlier this week that Beyonce is expecting her second child following her appearance at the Met Ball in New York City last week, where the star's alleged pregnancy was the talk of the night amongst the A-list crowd.

Speculation has also been rampant with fans on social media, who have shared pictures of the singer appearing to sport a developing baby bump on her 'Mrs. Carter Show' tour.

Beyonce's 65-date tour is currently travelling through Europe – with the singer completing the UK leg of her tour in Dublin, Ireland on Sunday (05.12.13) – and is expected to wrap up in New York City on August 5.

Meanwhile, Beyonce has been tipped to join her husband Jay-Z at the opening night of Cannes Film Festival in France tomorrow.

The rapper will walk the red carpet with the stars of Baz Luhrmann's new movie, 'The Great Gatsby', which he provided the soundtrack for.

Jay – real name Shawn Carter – even called on his wife to contribute to the film's score by singing a cover of Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black'.

The 'Love on Top' singer and Jay-Z welcomed their first child, 16-month-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, into the world in January 2012.

Alicia Keys is sad about Randy Jackson’s departure from ‘American Idol’.

The judge has announced he won’t return for a new season of the Fox show and Alicia says she will miss watching Randy, who has been on the panel from the beginning.

She told In Touch magazine: “That’s so sad. I think he’s amazing. I really love him a lot… for lots of years.”

When asked if she would consider joining the panel as a replacement for Randy, Alicia – who has son Egypt, two, with husband Swizz Beatz – claimed she doesn’t have time in her schedule for ‘American Idol’.

She said: “I don’t know if I’d want to be a judge.

“I’m about to go to Europe for my tour and then I have Brazil and Rock In Rio with Justin Timberlake, which will be crazy… and Asia and Australia so, that’s going to take me right on up through January.”

Randy, who was the only original judge on the panel of the show recently revealed he made the decision not to return next season because he wants to focus on his other interests.

He said: “Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on American Idol I have decided it is time to leave after this season,” he says. “I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.”

Leona Lewis wowed concert-goers at the Royal Albert Hall last night (09.05.13).

The ‘Bleeding Love’ hitmaker took the stage at the iconic London venue for the second night in a row for a sold-out show as part of her ‘Glassheart’ UK tour and treated fans to songs old and new with her signature soaring vocal range.

Introducing the show by asking fans to open their ”hearts and minds and enjoy this journey”, Leona’s intimate set relied on few tricks, fireworks or elaborate staging – letting her voice do the work instead. An emotional rendition of ‘Footprints in the Sand’, dedicated to her grandmother, particularly struck a chord with teary-eyed members of the London-born singer’s family who rallied in support of her homecoming gig.

The jaunt marks the star’s second tour following 2010′s ‘Labyrinth’ arena tour, and the once-timid performer has clearly come out of her shell since then, confidently strutting across the stage while tackling choreography-heavy uptempo tracks including the dubstep-infused ‘Glassheart’, ‘Collide’ and Akon-assisted ‘Forgive Me’.

However, it was the former ‘X Factor’ winner’s unmistakable ability to command an audience by hitting high notes – which from any other artist may prove ear-piercing – with effortless grace that truly earned applause from the audience gathered at the famed venue.

As the concert drew to a close, Leona saved the best for last, performing her smash hit number one single ‘Bleeding Love’ and followed up with an rousing rendition of her Snow Patrol cover, ‘Run’, backed – in true ‘X Factor’ style – by a full choir.

Madonna will be honored with the 'Top Touring Artist' award at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

The 'Girl Gone Wild' singer is set to take to the stage to accept the prestigious accolade, recognizing the huge success of her 2012 MDNA tour, which grossed over $305 million and saw her perform 88-sold out shows in front of 2.2 million fans worldwide.

Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Ed Sheeran are just some of the artists that will perform at this year's ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 19.

Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, Pitbull, The Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Prince and Justin Bieber will also take to the stage.

Nominations for the awards were recently announced with Taylor, fun. and Maroon 5 leading the way with 11 nods each.

Out of their 11 categories, the three leaders will all compete for Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist.

Maroon 5 and fun. will also vie for Top Duo/Group, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Hot 100 Song, and Top Digital Song while Maroon 5 and Taylor will compete for Top Artist and fun. and Taylor are both finalists for Top Streaming Song (Video).

Rihanna and Carly Rae Jepsen have received nods in 10 and nine categories respectively while One Direction will compete for eight awards.

Along with performing Prince is also set to be presented with the Billboard Icon Award during this year's ceremony.

Chris Brown has confirmed he and Rihanna have split up again.

The 'Fine China' hitmaker celebrated turning 24 on Sunday (05.05.13) with several lavish birthday bashes in Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles, and revealed he is single by saying he hoped to party with as many girls as he could, despite feeling "love" for his on/off girlfriend.

Rihanna – who is said to have planned a surprise for the singer – didn't attend any of his parties as she was busy performing her 'Diamonds World Tour' over her his birthday weekend.

Speaking about the best present he could receive ahead of his birthday on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Australian station 2DayFM, Chris said: "Just peace – centre of your zen, whatever peace you need, a clear mind … but, I'm 24, I'm going to be in Vegas, so I want to really see as many girls as possible."

Host Kyle asked: "So hang on, what's your status, you're on off … are you going through this birthday solo?"

Chris quickly replied: "I'm going to do it solo, at the end of the day, she's already doing her thing, she's on the road … there's always going to be love, but I'm just going to do me. I'm a grown man."

The couple initially split up in 2009 after Chris assaulted her and they have both dated in-between, with the rapper having a brief relationship with model Karrueche Tran and Rihanna, 25, being romantically linked to musician Drake.

However, Chris seems adamant their recent split is for good this time as he is "too young" to have a "wife" figure in his life, instead wanting to focus on himself.

He added: "The way I look at it is … I'm always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs, at the end of the day she's a young girl.

"I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young, and I'm young too. I just got to step forward and be the man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket. "

Katy Perry's songs are her "lockbox" of secrets.

The 'Firework' singer may not be as obvious when she's singing about her past boyfriends in her tracks as Taylor Swift, but she does use her songwriting as a way of healing her broken heart and working through her emotions.

Katy – who has recently split with John Mayer and was previously married to Russell Brand – said: "Maybe I'm not specific with names, but that's my lockbox where all my secrets go. Writing is like therapy.

"They all [songs] stem from the truth inside of me. I just want songs to be relatable, and to be adopted as someone else's soundtrack."

Katy, 28, saved her most risque song, 'I Kissed a Girl' until she got a big break, because she knew it would be the track to get people talking about her.

She is quoted by Britain's OK! magazine as saying: "I had something to prove, but I knew exactly what I was doing. I knew I had 'Hot N Cold' up my sleeve, and 'Thinking of You' and 'Waking up in Vegas'. Even if those weren't going to chart, I was putting out 'I Kissed a Girl' first so it would open the most doors. It was more risqué than the other ones, but it would get people talking."

Pink had a secret romance with N'Sync star Joey Fatone.

The 33-year-old star – who has a 23-month-old daughter, Willow, with her husband of seven years Carey Hart – says she is a "reformed slut" and previously dated the 'Bye Bye Bye' singer, 36, in 2000 after she supported the boy band on their North American 'No Strings Attached' tour.

She told the June issue of Glamour magazine: "Joey Fatone was in love with me. He took me to Friendly's on a date and he bought me an ice cream. Such a sweetheart. He asked my dad's permission!"

But the 'Just Give Me A Reason' singer revealed that she preferred being single than being in a relationship when she was younger and it helped her write her new album, 'The Truth About Love'.

She said: "I'm a reformed slut," explaining that she uses the word to make it less meaningful.

She added: "It's my very unsophisticated way of taking the power back. I've always had an issue with [the notion that], 'OK, we've both decided to do this. Why am I a slut and you're the player? You didn't get anything from me that I didn't get from you.'"

Pink admitted that her marriage, which went through a rough patch that saw she and her husband split up and reunite in early 2010, still takes work.

She said: "Long-term relationships are an everyday choice. It's harder to be in a marriage than it is to bounce from one relationship to the next. We're good because we communicate and we've grown up together, not because we don't fight."

George Clooney is planning to produce 'Coronado High'.

The actor-and-director is looking to reunite with his 'Argo' co-producer Grant Heslov to make a film based on an upcoming article from journalist Joshuah Bearman, reports TheWrap.com.

Bearman wrote the Wired magazine article that formed the basis for Chris Terrio's Oscar-winning script for 'Argo', which was directed by Ben Affleck.

Not much is known about his latest article as it hasn't been published yet, but it's thought the piece deals with a group of teenagers who are used to smuggle drugs in Coronado, California.

Sony Pictures is in talks to produce the project with Clooney in mind to direct.

The star recently worked with Sony Pictures on his latest directorial effort 'The Monuments Men', a period era art heist thriller. The studio is planning to release the film – in which Clooney also stars alongside Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett – during awards season at the end of the year.

Clooney will next be seen alongside Sandra Bullock in Alfonso Cuaron's 'Gravity', a space-set thriller, and is also set to star in Disney's 'Tomorrowland' directed by Brad Bird.

'Argo' swept the Oscars earlier this year, earning Clooney, Heslov and Affleck statues for Best Picture.
