Matthew McConaughey urged Jennifer Garner to stick around when she came close to quitting Dallas Buyers Club.
The pair appeared together in the hit 2014 movie and, during a new interview with Tell Me More with Kelly Corrigan, the 48-year-old actress explained she was a new mom while working on the flick.
According to Jennifer, her agent encouraged her to take the role in the 2013 movie because she had "taken so much time" away from acting to focus on son Samuel, now eight.
"So I took it, and that was why" Jennifer recalled. "Because it was time for me to go back to work."
However, she was still breastfeeding at the time and, amid a hectic production schedule, the star found it difficult to pump because "there was never a 10-minute break."
"My boobs were freaking out," Jennifer shared. "It was bedtime, and we were doing some scene that was supposed to be light, and I started crying and I was like, "I have to quit. I have to go home and be with my kids. I just can't do this anymore'.
"And sweet Matthew McConaughey pulled me aside and said, "What is going on with you?'" Jennifer remembered, before recalling the Oscar winner, 50, asked the crew to take a break so that she could pump in private.
"And from then on, whenever I needed to, I would give him a sign and I would go take care of it," Jennifer shared. "He said, "You can do both. You've got it. You can do it'."
