Mya wants to reunite with Pink, Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, and Missy Elliott to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their hit version of Lady Marmalade.

Next year will mark 20 years since the pop stars joined forces as a supergroup to cover Labelle's 1974 hit for the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann's movie Moulin Rouge! – a track which topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks on its release.

Speaking to British newspaper The Sun, Mya says she's not spoken to the other women about a reunion but thinks it's the right time for them to submit to fans' demands and team up again.

"Lots of fans are coming to all the ladies and saying, 'Is there going to be a reunion?' Of course, we have to listen to the fans," she explains.

"But we haven't had a full group conversation. We are constantly asked about it but I think it's time…"It's as easy as a group chat."

If the others are unavailable, however, the Case of the Ex hitmaker would settle for a drag queen version instead.

"I'd like to celebrate the LGBTQ community with drag queens," she adds. "You could have RuPaul, Amanda Lepore, Ultra Nate, Bianca Del Rio and the King of Vogue Dashaun Wesley could do Missy Elliott's role. That would be amazing for me."
