Longtime comedy collaborators Steve Martin and Martin Short are reuniting for a new TV series.

The old pals have scored a straight-to-series order for an as-yet-untitled show from bosses at streaming service Hulu.

The project was co-created by Martin and Grace and Frankie writer John Hoffman, and revolves around three strangers who discover they are all obsessed with true crime, as they find themselves caught up in the middle of one such case.

Martin, Short, and Hoffman will serve as executive producers on the show, alongside This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and his colleague Jess Rosenthal.

The role will be Martin’s first regular scripted TV gig.

He and Short previously worked together on The Three Amigos and Father of the Bride films, while they also hit the road for a musical comedy tour, which was turned into a 2018 Netflix special, titled Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest for Your Life.
