Jamie Foxx has shut down rumors he's joining Eddie Murphy on his upcoming standup comedy tour – despite admitting he'd love to be part of the jaunt.

The Saturday Night Live star is heading out on the road this year for his first standup tour in over three decades, and rumours had been swirling that Sleepless star Jamie was set to join.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, the actor addressed the speculation, and confirmed that while he is preparing for a tour of his own, he won't be joining the Dolemite Is My Name star for his stint.

Ellen asked: "I heard that you are going to do standup, and that you're going to do it with Eddie Murphy."

"The last part isn't true," Jamie clarified. "But I would love to go on tour with Eddie because it's our time "you haven't heard from him in a minute, and you haven't heard from me, but I got it."

He then confirmed he does have a tour set up, and revealed he's going to stop off at places where he first started out in his career.

"It's going to be an adventure," Jamie teased.
