Reese Witherspoon kept Legally Blonde character Elle Woods’ entire wardrobe, “including 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes”.
The actress has been teasing fans about a third installment in the popular franchise, which debuted in 2001 and was revived two years later for a sequel.
She’s currently starring in the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston and, during an appearance on Britain’s The Graham Norton Show on Friday, the star revealed she’s ready to slip back into Elle’s impressive wardrobe – because she’s got all her clothes at her house.
The star confessed she “kept the whole wardrobe including 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes”, as she joked: “I had it written in my contract!”
However, Reese went on to reveal she “didn’t touch them” until 2016 – the 15th anniversary of the franchise – when she took a trip down memory lane and “had a lot of fun trying them on with my daughter”.
The bubbly sorority girl turned Harvard Law School student is one of the star’s most celebrated roles, and she was honoured on Thursday when Kim Kardashian donned a blonde wig plus Elle’s signature pink dress for her Halloween look.
Responding to clip of the reality TV star parodying the popular character’s Harvard admissions video essay, Reese gushed on her Instagram Stories, “Elle Woods forever,” adding the 100 emoji.
