La Roux is returning to music, more than five years after the release of her last album Trouble in Paradise.
The British singer, real name Elly Jackson, parted ways with her co-writer Ben Langmaid shortly before that album’s release, and has remained inactive since finishing touring the record in 2016.
However, she teased that a return for her first album without any contribution from Langmaid by tweeting a picture of herself in the recording studio on Tuesday, with the caption: “Back at it…”
The post came after she recently wiped her Instagram and Twitter and posted a new profile picture across all her social media platforms, including Facebook.
Langmaid and Jackson fell out over creative differences while making 2014’s Trouble in Paradise, and she has kept the La Roux name as her own.
