Gwyneth Paltrow has been told off by her daughter Apple Martin for sharing a picture of them on Instagram without her permission.

The Goop founder posted a selfie on the site on Monday which showed her and Apple, 14, riding a ski lift in a snowy location. While the Avengers star's face is clearly visible, Apple's face is mostly covered up by large reflective ski goggles and a helmet.

Shortly after Gwyneth posted the snap, which she captioned with apple and love heart emojis, the teenager made it clear that she wasn't impressed with her mom sharing it without asking first.

"Mom we have discussed this. You may not post anything without my consent," Apple wrote, and the actress defended the post, writing, "You can't even see your face!"

The last time the 46-year-old posted a picture of her daughter, who has a private Instagram account, was in September when she shared a selfie of the duo to celebrate National Daughter Day.

"Happy #nationaldaughtersday Apple Martin, it's like i conjured you from a dream, you make my life," she wrote in the caption.

In January, the actress said on U.S. talk show Rachael Ray that Apple finds her extremely embarrassing.

"I am mortifying. Like I am the most embarrassing person all of a sudden. It's been like a couple good years that I've been the most embarrassing person," she said. "If I do anything silly in public, the color drains from her face. Any silly jokes, or if I dance, like in a store, God forbid. She's like, 'Mom!,' and I'm like, 'OK, sorry, got it.'"

She shares Apple, as well as 12-year-old son Moses, with her ex-husband, Coldplay's Chris Martin. They split in 2014 after 10 years of marriage, and she has since married TV producer Brad Falchuk.
