Luke Perry was planning a summer wedding with his fiancee Wendy Madison Bauer before his tragic death last week.

A 'save the date' invitation card obtained by TMZ.com shows the Beverly Hills, 90210 star planned to marry for the second time in Los Angeles on 17 August. The card, designed in grey and gold, indicated a formal invitation with more details would be sent later.

Wendy broke her silence over the weekend, following her fiance's death after a stroke, by giving a statement to America's People magazine.

"The past 11.5 years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him," she said."I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed."

Luke suffered a massive stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, late last month, and he passed away on 4 March after reportedly suffering a second stroke.

The 911 call made by a woman who found Luke during his medical emergency has also been made public by U.S. gossip website The Blast, in which she remained calm when asked multiple questions about his condition but told emergency responders to, "hurry up and get here."

The 52-year-old actor was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, Los Angeles, but never recovered.

Luke's two kids by his first wife, Rachel – Sophie, 18, and Jack, 21, have also paid tribute to their dad. Sophie has also hit back at trolls who have made negative comments on her Instagram page since her father's death, explaining she wants to "live my normal life" despite being distraught at her family tragedy.
