Jennifer Lawrence's representative has confirmed the actress is engaged to marry boyfriend Cooke Maroney.

It was first reported on Tuesday that the Oscar winner was set to wed the art gallery director, and representatives for The Hunger Games star have now confirmed to multiple outlets that Jennifer has accepted her boyfriend's proposal.

Editors at New York Post's gossip column Page Six were the first to the report the news after sources revealed that they had recently spotted Jennifer wearing a "massive ring" on her ring finger while enjoying what appeared to be a celebratory dinner with the 33-year-old at French restaurant Raoul's in New York City.

"It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it," a source told the outlet. "The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots."

Jennifer, 28, started dating Cooke last summer after they were introduced by the actress' best pal, Laura Simpson. They went public with the romance in June and have since been spotted on dates in the Big Apple and on vacations in Rome and Paris. And she took him to the New York premiere of The Favourite, which features her close friend Emma Stone and ex Nicholas Hoult, in September.

Jennifer has also previously dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and her Mother! director Darren Aronofsky.

Cooke is a director at the Gladstone 64 art gallery on the Upper East Side of New York City. His clients reportedly include Lena Dunham's painter dad, Carroll, and Bjork's ex-boyfriend, Matthew Barney.

The couple have yet to comment on the news as they are intensely private and rarely use social media.
