Chris Pratt has announced his engagement to girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger – almost three months after finalising his divorce from Anna Faris.
The Jurassic World star shared the happy news with fans on his Instagram page on Sunday night, posting a snap of himself kissing a smiling Katherine, the daughter of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver, on the cheek as she showed off her new sparkler.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!" he wrote.
Katherine has yet to comment on her bride-to-be status, but a post on her Instagram page on Sunday with her mother showed a bare ring finger – suggesting the proposal happened on Sunday night.
News of the engagement is likely to come as a surprise to many, as Chris, 39, only confirmed his romance with Katherine in December as he celebrated her 29th birthday.
The pair were first romantically linked in June, however, when they were spotted enjoying a picnic date, and subsequent paparazzi snaps showed them locking lips, meeting up with her father and her brother Patrick, and celebrating Halloween with his ex-wife Anna and their six-year-old son Jack.
Chris and Anna separated in August 2017 after eight years of marriage, and their divorce was finalized in October.
Speaking previously about the end of his relationship with Anna, Chris told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "Divorce sucks. But at the end of the day, we've got a great kid who's got two parents who love him very much. And we're finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It's not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better."
Anna is now dating cinematographer Michael Barrett.
