Cardi B's guilty pleasure when it comes to fashion is splashing the cash.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker tore herself away from baby Kulture to attend Tom Ford's Spring/Summer 2019 New York Fashion Week show on Wednesday night, alongside A-list guests including Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding, and Paris Jackson.
Arriving solo on the red carpet, Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, confessed her guilty pleasures when it comes to fashion.
"My fashion guilty pleasure is spending money! Do you know what I'm sayin'?" the I Like It rapper told Entertainment Tonight. "Spending money is just… guilty!"
But she also shared she enjoys simpler pleasures, like a refreshing shower.
"I feel effing fabulous after I finish taking a shower and I take my wig off," Cardi smiled. "And I just feel refreshed and I be like,' Ah, you know what, I got these prisoner braids but I'm still beaut!' That's when I feel fabulous!"
Cardi looked stunning in a body-hugging black Tom Ford dress with bold shoulders, which she paired with statement earrings, lilac and silver eye shadow and a long black wet-look wig.
"Makeup, hair to match the look!… You always gotta match everything!" she answered when asked what inspired her look.
It was the 25-year-old rapper's second red carpet appearance since giving birth to her first child with husband rapper Offset, from hip-hop trio Migos, in July.
It was recently revealed that the postpartum issues she endured after giving birth were more serious than she initially indicated.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, after the delivery Cardi "suffered unanticipated postpartum complications" serious enough "to cause her to cancel an upcoming and much-publicized tour, performing with Bruno Mars."
The Bronx native's admission is part a $5 million lawsuit filed by male model Kevin Michael Brophy Jr. He claims Cardi used a photo of him without his permission for the artwork of her Gangsta B**ch Music Vol. 1 mixtape. The artwork shows a man performing oral sex on her.
